Agile and resilient, the chamois is a symbol of the European mountains. It is recognizable by its brown coat, its hooked, curved horns, and the black stripe that adorns its face.
Accustomed to steep terrains, it lives in the Alps, the Pyrenees, and other mountain ranges, where it moves with remarkable ease. Surprisingly, the chamois can traverse steep slopes and leap more than 6 meters in a single bound, allowing it to easily escape its predators. A herbivore, it feeds on grasses, buds, and lichens, adapting its diet according to the seasons.
This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the chamois: slender silhouette, sculpted horns, and dynamic posture. An ideal model to enrich a collection of wild animals, invent mountain stories, or educate children about the fascinating life of alpine wildlife.
