The Welsh Guards are one of the five Foot Guards regiments of the British Army's Household Division. The Coldstream Guards, identifiable by the red plume on the right side of their bearskin, are the oldest continuously serving regiment in the British Army. While well-known for its high-profile ceremonial duties, it is first and foremost an infantry unit.
