Peaceful and endearing, the koala is an iconic Australian marsupial. Recognizable by its thick grey fur, black snout, and large rounded ears, it spends most of its time clinging to eucalyptus branches.
A highly specialized herbivore, it feeds almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves, which it digests with a unique system. Surprisingly, despite its reputation as a sleeper, the koala can spend up to 20 hours a day resting to conserve energy. The young, called "joeys," grow in their mother's ventral pouch before climbing onto her back to discover the trees.
This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the koala: dense fur, expressive snout, and characteristic posture. An ideal model to complete a collection of wild animals, invent stories in the heart of the Australian forest, or raise children's awareness of the protection of this endangered marsupial.
