The Protoceratops is a small herbivorous dinosaur that lived in Asia approximately 80 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period. Measuring 2 meters long, it is considered one of the ancestors of the large ceratopsians.
Interesting fact: it lived in groups and protected its eggs in collective nests. Spectacular fossils even show battles with velociraptors!
